:What 's up guys ! First i bean familiar listening
Samavayo from Death March Melodies - Nasoni Records - i
make Conclusions for this album that goes more to
alternative rock including some influences of Tool ,
maybe Deftones and other Alternative Metal bands than
stoner rock, do you believe that this record label put
more into the stone rock scene ? |
Andreas:
Hey Dude, thanks for interviewing us.
To answer your first question: Nasoni released a lot of
blues and psychedelic influenced music from all over the
world. First time I get in contact with Mr. Bier was
when he released the bluerock band HEMPELLS from Berlin.
This guys were friends and played in our clubs near
school. At this time I started making music. Nasoni was
a label that gave Samavayo a chance, when many other
labels didnt, but even at this time Samavayo was more an
outsider on his label, because we are more an
alternative heavy rock band with lots of rock influences
in general and also influences from psychedelic as we
all liked the 60s and 70s rock and psychedelic music,
but also metal and grunge of the 90s and of course
stonerrock. But also we were the only band with that
kind of style on his Label Mr. Bier trusted in us and
helped us releasing our first album. I think Nasoni just
helped a lot of stoner rock bands to grow, for example
Colour Haze or Los Natas, The Great Escape, Liquid
Visions or Nightstalker just to name a few. Lots of this
bands released their first album on Nasoni Records. But
this guy is a long time on planet earth, he saw artists
growing and dying in decades, so what will come next, I
don't know, lets be exited :-)

:Favorite audience of all Samavayo live gigs /
concerts , the most succeed live performance ; I
discovered on the net fans from Japan who came this ?
Stephan: -
there is not that specific gig being the best of all.
but you can definitely say that festival gigs like rock
am ring, melt, hurricane and high field have been very
special for us. and of course all the hometown gigs in
Berlin have been great, too.
Andreas:
Yes, and we always enjoy playing outside of Germany,
like for example our small three-show-tour in Greece,
Athen, Thessaloniki and Alexandropolis, it was a great
experience and we hope to come back soon!
In Japan we have specially one big fan. I met her on
myspace once and she started a fanpage in Japan.
Hopefully one day we will be able to visit her.

:If some big mainstream label approach Samavayo , the
band will be positive ti sign a contract , is there any
prerequisite-(requirement) to deal with this ;
Behrang:
if we agree then only upon making the music we like and
appearing the way we want.
Stonerrock.gr
:What s the opinion of Stoner rock scene , this
(hype) will be continued ..... so strong ;
Andreas:
Well I believe in things are changing always, so ...,
just look back 40years...genres and hypes are coming and
going with the time, but Music in general will be there
for all times, if its Stoner rock or "only" rock music or
whatever-music, for me its more important, that we will
have the freedom to play our music. Don't forget: there
are countries, where its forbidden to even listen to
rock music...
Stonerrock.gr
:Future plans of Samavayo ;
Behrang:
making the next album, touring across Europe. playing
show with other great stoner and heavy rock bands.
Stephan:
making new songs, recording new songs and playing as
many gigs as possible.... business as usual.
Andreas:
yepp, and trying to make things better and increase
ourselves.
