Review
For the most experienced stoner
fans - do you know Datura from the New Zeeland ? If you don't know
them you should check them and after hurry up and search for the 2 Cd's
on eBay or other resources and shops is absolutely must for the fanatics
of Heavy Space Psychedelic music genre like Monster Magnet ,Colour Haze
, Novadriver and the Swedes split-up Satellite Circle - However Arc Of
Ascent is the brainchild of
Craig Williamson
(Lamp Of The Universe and Datura) for some people and magazines they
tagged as doom metal - for me i won t except this for them , are heavy
but doom only in structure ,its something like stoner heavy psychedelic
solar shit .!
Celestial
Altar sounding imposing grooving fuzzy and with a perfect rhyme vocally
, a song cut and sewn to impresses us , the guitarist add some solos
here without rhythm guitar so can be clearly
understand .'Land of
Tides' is something like a hit a good follow up and catchy second
track. A good element that i find on them is that fill out with the
three instruments and are more meaningful and direct .'Search for
Liberation' is eerie uncanny and occult eastern influences track more
space in the style of Samasara Blues Experimment -if you like
stuff like that check Graig other band 'Lamp Of
The Universe'.
'Redemption' i found some similarities of Dopes to Infinity - i really
dig the changing from slower to faster tempos and the bridges on almost
the record and especially here.
Ok i
found a flaw on this record ! there is not something prototype its
getting something like the new Datura excepts the ending song 'Through
the Rays of Infinity' that might
be more strange with this whirling riff that - Craig
Williamson find a great guitarist in the face of Sandy Schaare
.
