Review
This band standing away from the
mainstream dirtiness's mania with out of any attitude to impress with
distortions and sound effects - Been Obscene confuse us about their
musical genre. 'Night o’ Mine' released by Elektrohasch Records a
guarantee first class independent record label specialized in heavy
psych ,progressive and stoner rock their albums are almost top rated in
online or printed magazines so note that record.
'Endless
Scheme' opening with a cool slow desert psychedelic pop riff in the vein of Sgt
Sunshine and Motorpsycho middle period , the sound
are so clear a well produced , they extend the tracks in duration in
most tracks with out being boring .Snake
Charmer' going more into late 60 's psychedelic Californian bands
influences surprise us with the middle riff heaviness ,'Cut The Rope' is
more of radio hit small track ,here the singer does more good
performance and leading the rhythm .S/T track do not impress me except
the euphemism riff .'The Run' stand out maybe more interesting track
for me changing from melancholic pop to more heaviest parts .'Memories
In Salvation' can not be more influence from Motorpsycho here ! goes for
me indifferent , fortunately 'Alone' ending the record successful
adding the own style of dark psych atmosphere.
Sometimes the album blow up from melodies but lacking some edginess ,
however they have some intent riffs at the ending of the most songs , if
you ask to describe them musically is somewhere between Kyuss on the
stoner rock side and Big Elf on the progressive
rock side without any metal elements (headbaggers keep away from here !)
The band have a good chemistry - probably take action in writing all
members .'Night o’Mine' in my opinion is a stunning 'dark stoner' album
if give them time in you Cd player if you hurry up you lost you meaning
for sure.
If you have any doubt about that .. go
down listen and vote them ;
