- I will
not introduce Mather Mars like the new Nebula or Truckfighters ,but
..... these guys have an unique stamp of sound and identity ,this is the
reason that i listen and pay attention on the 'Fossil Fuel Blues' Album
and ask them to send me the CD for review .The band have a bound sound
and conformity ,(three guys two of them brothers) with the rawness
of Mudhoney and the heaviness off the legendary neighbors Budd ! add on
this some spacey sharp psychedelia , the result is really remarkable.
- 'Ride
Like The Wind' starts with thundering riffs getting to the point
instantly , have on mind here the first albums of Nebula with an
alternative flavor but not for long slowing the tempo show as the doom
influences , in any case the guitar solos are mentioned on all the
record . 'Fossil Fuel Blues' are a slow stoner doom song in the vein of
sleep with a melancholic lyrics , this is someway strange and don 't
fits good here - contrary with the speeder parts of the cd , the track
ending perfectly with a solos and sideways rhythm guitar riff. 'Prelude'
are more are more psychedelic and experimentally ... think here
some Earthless instrumental staff -totally a space outfit .'Organic.
Robotic' is one of these classic stoner songs - nice but in the average
level - nothing special at all .
- 'Mother
Mars music have many surprises , some tracks seems indifference and one
the way changing the composition with bridges and various tricks .'Close
Encounters Of The Fourth Kind' is a sabbathic riff .. you will hear from
the start .Note - If you listen the preview album
'Primitives CD 2009' that is more
in to alternative than this current work goes only to heavy stoner metal
paths .My only objection is that the voice duties performed from the
guitarist is someway hoarse and their music could be more wide
with some slow tempo tracks or ballads .Highlight
is 'The Path' well done for the
Mother Mars and 666 Records a label from Australia that
released also some other good bands like the doomsters Summonus , this
record completely devoted to heavy rock / stoner rock genre that's
