Review
- More
stoner rock than we expect the ambitious debut 5-track Cd album from a new
instrumental space heavy rock band from Sint-Oedenrode Holland "Radar Men From
The Moon" with a title "Intergalactic Dada & Space Trombones"
and a cover art that remind us kind of Pink Floyd and such 70's
psychedelic. The album first track Space Colonists start with a sample
sounds possible from the Sci-Fi b-movie Radar Men from the Moon (1952)
the further track will mind me more of 35007 10" inch "Sea of Tranquillity" intro track "Von Braun" a space heavy rock track including
some extra melody solos "RMFTM" sound don 't appears flat and covers the
lack of vocals with samples in track like "The Wire" a front
leading bass song with extra guitar soundscapes. Intergalactic Dada &
Space Trombones s/t maybe start boring but growths well in the middle to
end. "The People Who Stay On The Earth Will Explode" is the part
of the record that i wont distinguish for stoner rockers , more jam song
and experimental sounds here. Ending track Moonjuice is a 'guitar riff '
cool track ending the record with the same way movie samples , the
band claim that influences from Colour haze, Motorpsycho, Hawkwind,
My sleeping karma, Kyuss etc also we hear some Pink Floydish tunes .RMFTM
is definitely a worth promising band they play in last month "August
2011' with bands like Color Haze , Hypnos 69 , Rotor ,Vibravoid
,Zone Six in Yellowstock festival in Belgium , the also announced live
gigs with Vic du Monte's Persona Non Grata , Candybar Planet & 7zuma7 !
in September and October !
-
Creativity is the strongest point of Radar Men From The Moon the play
write songs in
wide sound range ,and wont disappoint heavy rockers at least they have a
necessary opened mind to space psychedelia.
