Review
SuperGiant is a band from Albuquerque New Mexico  that are complete devoted and focusing on the stoner rock / heavy rock music style , their strongest point is the extra catchy riffs , straight forward simple sound and the clear and loud vocals from the Joel Rogers takes the front seat of the scene .
I wonder why a well known band like  SuperGiant  release a  DYI album ; They released one vinyl and Cd before and become in same way popular to stoner rock circles and takes positive critics from independent online magazines .One thing maybe they will afraid the saturation and create and organized the events as they want .
Pistol Star with the first quick glance is more raw and dry and less psychedelic than previews releases Antares Cd  and the Same title vinyl reminds me bands like 'The Satellite Circle' from Sweden  the Australians 'Rollerball' and latest two Kyuss  albums as an influences ,hot chicks ,fast cars , astronomy maybe as an inspiration .
'Tres de la Mañana' moving into Unida's latest sounds and i could say here that don't impressed me ,'Emotion' show as the progression of a single riff as they work it out possible lead up with a lyrics . 'Revolution' contains a sample of Che Gevarra speech a heavy metal song near or rented from 'Motorhead' orgasmatron in slowest version !! .All songs they follow up directly to the next one in surprising way .'Rosey Posey' are a heavy bluesy song indicated to a doll , excellent  performance from the singer here .'Aries' and 'Mexican Radio' finally the vibe goes more bluesy hard rocking  otherwise the band could became monotonic and boring same as the singer change the performing and style and show some other skills , first Nebula/Lowrider  split Ep come to my mind if you want and  image .'Pistol Star' are the finally track and one the rare moments that includes solo guitar a sign of simplicity .SuperGiant  makes my time the don t have any dark and moody fields in the tracks , that match to the band title a super giant star , so .... that you should expect ! 'Revolution' and  'Mexican Radio' the highlights .
Gigantic stoner songs this is the best selection for the first review in 2012 ,independent stoner rock for the masses scroll down and vote ...
