- The first full album from the
flying Dutchman's of alternative stoner rock come out after three years
.The CD Into the Eyes of the Armed is a puzzle of the two sides of
the band melodic and groovy .You can might guess the biggest
influences of TTP is Pearl Jam and Smashing and after
Queens of the Stone Age ,
whirling opener track Democracy give us the
best expectations for the sequel a very solid groovy song if you
excluding the scream's of the singer Richard Kleuskens sometimes
more often than needed and the background organ fits nicely in the ending.
The Fool with the Jarhead claims introduce as a hit as well the follower
In the City from the first Cd-ep Circle Lines at 2009 you sure notice as
listening the lyrics (let's get stoned in the city ....) and many
lyrics have also social
concerns , We
call ourselves Diplomats and (Loss is Bitter previews performed
live in TV show
Video) an acoustic ballads comes to my mind mid 90's "pearl jam Vitalogy" is one of the strongest moments of this concept album singer
melodic vocals and guitarists closing solos shines. Definitely a great piece
is the same title song "Into the Eyes of the Armed" for me the
pick of the album. The digipack Cd package contains a 16 page
booklet illustrated artwork with all the lyrics .
After many live gigs , festivals radio stations like (Holland
national radio station 3FM) and TV acoustic sets
the latest forthcoming gig supporting the famous super group
The Damned Things (members of
Anthrax)
maybe will be the next big thing in heavy rock scene western
in
Europe and the
lowlands.
