- Part of
the Greek stoner rock scene The Dive a band from Athens (had
support in the stage bands like Mudhoney ,Brant Bjork and the Bros)
release the first official work , balance somewhere in alternative
grunge rock ,stoner and even some post - progressive elements in their
music. Start with "Fresh blue coffee" you mind some 90" west cost grunge
influences ,"Seaweed" , "the Mono Men" etc a perfect garage rock intro
track quite simple and familiar ,continued with "Lockjaw" the style
changes more into post rock alternative , the bass lead the rhythm of
the track here ,"Billy Jean" not a M.Jackson cover have maybe the
most catchy riff of the album .In that time i say that we listen three
different songs with good impressions ,as well the performance of and is
great but the vocals go too average personally i wont dig it
."Fabio, Fabio .." really is a smash song , very modern in the vein of
Monkey 3 post stoner track also some Italian words by singer
Monkey J add something
interesting .The album progress continued with more psychedelic and
stoner fuzz riffs and jams like
"Plan 9 from outer space"
with a little bit of surf soundtrack guitar melodies.

atmosphere in this album , some audience may confused or need more
listening ,the band seem to work on recordings many time ,the
compositions are not the best but the band's production and
inventiveness give that touch .. ,plus the diversity , not a classic
stoner rock band here and don 't search for hits except the first
track, they offers the S/T album for free download , but is
suggested to buy to see the beautiful artwork and package , dive and
vote !
