- Inspired
by Christer Fuglesang life s the Astronaut from Sweden ,a journey from
the beginning till the end , The Movements traveling us to an abstracts
melodic space sounds even a kraut rock atmosphere! Differs from the
previews albums The Movements drop the groovy riffs change the music
style from retro garage and move to space kraut rock .The Swedes have
tradition to garage punk but not only , here helped by 6 extra
musicians to recording 'For Sardines Space Is No Problem'
overflows of melodies tunes and samples that you might forget to
like any heavy rock band for a while. 'A Birth Under The Northern Sky'
is an intro track that starts with an organ quite relaxing and melodic
end up with a cry baby sample , 'Mother Someday Im Gonna Be An Astronaut'
are more into psych space garage with the rhythm section leading the
music and the guitars and other organs jamming , i don't now if the band
have any influences of Meat Puppets middle period , also the vocals take
secondary role in this record. 'In The Footsteps Of Gagarin' one of the
song that stands out here ,lead by a synthesizer organ escalating
faster to the end ,'Trapped On Earth' the try to play a melancholic
ballad adding and mixing some Swedish folk elements ,'Go Now My Friend
(Out Into Space)' show us the garage pop vibe , the spot that The
Movements see the music is different and interesting but sometimes is
space soup ! ,escape more than we expect to experimental music style .
- A big
dose of melodies from the Space Movements recommended for psych
garage fans only , listen down 'In The Footsteps Of Gagarin' from this
album and vote.
