Yama - demo 2011

Review
Taking the name from the Tibetan god of death , Dutch heavy rock band Yama  don't  try to canned the their music to the trends of stoner groovy rock , put together elements of independent American  scene of the early 90s and 80's remind us the album Coduh of the legendary the Mike Gunn ,early Soundgarden and some sounds of the real first desert rock scene such as Gunn Club and Giant Sand. 'Hollow ' is a guitarist -ic  driven track that came across more into alternative rock than stoner doom profile of the band . 'Seaquake'  performed more spacey jams and groovy that will impress some stoner heads  with the strong rhythm structure , come very similar to heavy doom trio Elder .'Synergy' is the most raw and heavy track of the demo Ep , the transition from alternative rock to heavy doom will keep you focus on you stereo cd is really remarkable . Yama don t have a unique music compositions otherwise have a unique sounds , bluesharp of the singer add some nice  textures ,usually play harp garage bands the experiment achieved !
The ep release last only 19 minutes , but the eco friendly package limited to 250 with the color full poster will reciprocate you , we hope to have news for full release about Yama , Recommended only some copies left !
